MY PROCESS
PROCESS DRIVEN ART
My curiosity begs me to explore different mediums and their processess. My first set of maps was an exercise in playing with lines. The second set of maps is more of an exercise in shape.
NATURE LUST ART
Nature has this way of making me feel as though making art is pointless……because nature is so exquisite. So, because I cannot stop making art, I try to make love to nature as a tribute to her. I’ve recently been drawn into the woods and have become transfixed by the undulating planes between the branches. Earlier this year I had to make love to the moon. Then there’s my husband’s elbow.
CONCEPTUAL ART
Sometimes I have a very clear concept that I want to illustrate. The MotherHood Experience would fall into this category. In this case, the ideas dictate the materials I have to use.
COLOUR BASED ART
After I’ve been working conceptually for a while, then I need a little colour therapy to rebalance the cerebral nature of conceptual art and sink me into the lower chakras. My recent X-ray work falls into this category.
i will never look at maps the same way after your art.
i like toronto and vienna best, and explorers.
